I love how John doesn’t beat about the bush (so to speak). Just gets right to the point. He’s been letting it go throughout breakfast, giving Sherlock a chance to offer an explanation - but clearly no explanation is forthcoming, and now he’s had enough. And he’s totally not going to let Sherlock get away with ‘what noise?’ either. He wants answers, dammit.
